Hey y’all, welcome to another bonus edition of Unfit to Print.

Is a car a deadly weapon?

For the Minnesota anti-ICE protesters, it depends who’s driving it.

ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON

As I covered in Unfit to Print yesterday, Renee Good was reportedly part of a group called “ICE Watch” that mobilizes citizen protesters to record ICE encounters with suspects and use whistles and social media to alert neighborhoods to ICE’s presence. In many cases, they tell their members to go even further, to impede and obstruct officers so they cannot carry out their lawful duties.

Minnesota’s sect of the group has a public-facing Instagram account that details its activity. Many of its recent posts, as you can imagine, focus on the ICE shooting of Good. The comments range from calling the ICE agent “pathetic” to blindly asserting that Good didn’t hit the officer and dismissing the idea that he had a reasonable fear of being run over by her vehicle.

But if you scroll back about six months, Minnesota ICE Watch was singing a very different tune.
