Democratic Senate nominee James Talarico’s spiritual mentor is very mad online.
Jim Rigby has spent the past week popping off on Facebook about the spate of undercover videos of him and other leaders at his church, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian, making some rather extraordinary claims about Christianity.
“Visitors and congregants coming to our first service Sunday had to drive past protestors claiming we aren’t a real church,” Rigby wrote in a post titled “STRANGE TIMES.” “Our services are now visited by rightwing spies with hidden recorders pretending to be visitors.”
Rigby then accused an undercover journalist of deceptively editing his videos to make himself and other leaders in the church “sound heretical.”
What’s amazing, though, is that Rigby then spent the next several days voluntarily offering up even more bizarre statements about his beliefs.
