And yet my Boomer brother and his wife have spend countless hours looking after their grandchildren when their now-single mother has to work. They also looked after his wife's mother who lost her mental acuity before she passed away, and his wife's alcoholic brother who couldn'[t even go to the bathroom without making a mess. And last week my mother had a stroke, and it was my brother who was on scene to help until things stabilized, because he lived the closest.

This isn't a generational issue, and it is stupid if not ignorant to make it so. There are people who help, and those that don't, and those that do so reluctantly and unreliably. It has very little to do with their year of birth.
