It’s Friday morning and my time is short, so let’s get into it.
But first, here’s my favorite way to make sense of the news: Ground News.

There’s more news published every day than anyone could possibly keep up with. And depending on where you look, you can come away with a very different sense of which stories matter and what parts of them deserve the most attention.

AMERICANISM ISN’T BAD, IT’S JUST REPUBLICAN
A video is going viral showing Indian foreigners pushing a more-than-likely toxic statue into Lake Ontario. It was part of some sort of festival in 2025. No one was punished or fined that I could find in a brief search. There are social media posts about the same “immersion” festival at Lake Ontario this year as well. If it does happen, we all know nobody will be punished.
One commenter noted, “Catch a fish a half inch too long and the fish cops will put you in the guillotine, but this is OK. Got it.”
Which is true if you’ve ever gone fishing. You need a license and an accurate means of measurement, or you could end up in jail. But if you want to push a bunch of paper mache, metal, and chemicals like a giant colorful turd into everyone’s fresh water, go for it.
There are two tiers of justice in jurisdictions controlled by Democrats.
I mean that literally. And they’re not ashamed to say it. They’ll say it under oath and proudly.
TPUSA producer Blake Neff put it in literal terms when he wrote, “Democrat officeholders are testifying, under oath, that they have created a two-tier justice system where foreign criminals are punished less for the same crime, specifically to make sure they keep DACA status and aren’t deported.”
Not only will we not punish you, but if you’re foreign and especially if you’re illegal, we’ll give you free money, free healthcare, and free housing. Free! Except it’s all a tax on native Americans, either literally through taxes or through rising costs.
Democrat Rep. Delia Ramirez made headlines recently when she submitted legislation that would effectively end immigration enforcement.
“I am a proud Guatemalan before I’m an American,” she once said.
She’s the daughter of two illegals. Literally an anchor baby. She’s also married to a DACA recipient.
This is the current state of the political left and its party in America. They’ve invited so many foreigners and foreign tribals into the country, groups of people who vote as an ethnic bloc, that they are no longer capable of representing Americans.
Their voting blocs are Gen Z misfits, liberal boomers whose brains have been turned to mush by toxic empathy and … foreigners.
As a result, they need to demonize nativism, which is exactly what they and their media allies have spent the last 15 years or so doing.
Americanism isn’t bad. At this point, it’s simply Republican.
