State of Friday: Insane Virginia Democrats Set Spanberger Up Perfectly For Her ‘28 Presidential Run
They do indeed want to make fraud legal
Greetings, Dear Reader,
I hate to talk about Virginia again, but I assure you there’s a bigger picture here.
Let’s get after it.
THE VIRGINIA GAMBIT
It kind of figures when you winnow down the candidates, what’s actually emerged for Democrats to challenge the GOP in ‘28 is a few girl bosses of color, two former spooks pretending to be moderate, and some white guys.
Knowing what we all know about how corrupt the party’s process is when it comes to candidate selection, we can probably rule a few of these out pretty much right away. Crockett, AOC, Ilhan are out — g’bye girl bosses of color.
Pete Buttigieg is too gay. Josh Shapiro, while probably the strongest overall candidate, is too Jewish (also too male and too white). Newsom is too incompetent, has too much baggage, and is way too Trumpy in his narcissism. He’s also a well-documented womanizer. The establishment left ultimately won’t stand for it.
That leaves the spooks — former CIA employees turned politicians — Michigan Sen. Elissa Slotkin and newly frocked Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger. Bonus for Dems: The future is female!
(Side note: They’re now 0-2 running women, but heck … at least Donald “2-0 Woman Slayer” Trump will be out of the mix.)
Slotkin has no executive experience. Governors always have an edge in primaries. So she’s out.
That leaves Spanberger in the most crucial position to capitalize in ‘28.
How exactly will she do it?
By enacting a purge of the worst excesses in her party.
I’m not saying it’s all part of the plan. I think state-level Dems eager to make their mark on America by introducing legislation almost certain to contribute to its destruction actually want to see their dreams become our nightmares.
They revel in the idea of banning white guys from receiving government contracts (yes, an actual piece of legislation). They’re wholly sincere when they suggest removing mandatory minimums for burglary, rape, and child porn. They do indeed want to make fraud legal.
The only thing standing in their way is the wily intelligence officer with greater ambitions than destroying a state. That’s rookie shit compared to destroying a country!
Spanberger will probably make a big show of vetoing the heck out of many of the worst of these proposals. They’ve pretty much teed her up to look absolutely moderate by comparison.
Spanberger will forge her general election pitch for president on the political corpses of the far-left Democrats who helped get her the governor’s chair in the first place.
How poetic.
