State of Monday: RITTENHOUSE, PENNY ... KNAPTON
If a man cannot defend his property from seven burglars in the middle of the night, using deadly force if necessary, then we are no longer free Americans. Simple as that.
Greetings, Dear Reader,
Welcome back to State of the Day, where I strip the euphemism and misdirection of the day’s news and give it to you straight – no ice, no mixer.
As anyone who’s studied even a little bit of history knows, one of the first things they do when they want to control you is to strip your right to self-defense.
RITTENHOUSE, PENNY … KNAPTON
After the second time his detached garage was broken into, Dayton Knapton bought a surveillance system and a handgun.
What this should tell anyone with any sense is that not only was Knapton tired of dealing with break-ins, he was also aware of the odds. This might just be conjecture, but it’s safe to assume he suspected that a baseball bat or some other non-lethal means might not be enough. He likely also suspected that a confrontation with these repeat offenders might be fatal for him otherwise.
We don’t know why he suspected that, but we might find out when his manslaughter trial kicks off.
Knapton, 24, was charged with manslaughter and a host of other felony gun charges. Late one night in July, his surveillance system tripped. Someone had broken into his garage.
Knapton, according to police and prosecutor reports, stepped outside and fired two shots through his locked garage door, shouting, “Get the f*** out!”
There was a flurry of activity, and seven men emerged from his garage into the darkness. Knapton, understandably in my opinion, fired off five more shots as the men fled.
What first responders found out later was that Knapton’s first two shots struck two of the men. Both managed to flee the premises, and both managed to somehow get to a hospital, where one of them expired.
Sivan Wilson, 17, was a high school athlete at a nearby public school. Police suspect he and his friends were attempting to steal the dirt bikes Knapton kept in his garage. The surviving members of the squad were all charged with breaking and entering.
Wilson’s family, meanwhile, is aghast that Knapton hasn’t been charged with murder.
“It doesn’t make sense that it wasn’t done out of malice and for them to charge him with manslaughter when everything in the report suggests that it was malicious intent,” Armani Madden, Sivan’s sister, told the local news.
In the charges, the local prosecutor on the case concluded that Knapton, by discharging his firearm “outside at fleeing persons,” had “potentially endangered the surrounding community.”
Knapton’s defense lawyer kept it simple.
“This is a case of stone self-defense,” Dov Lustig said.
Indeed it is, but that’s exactly why it must be prosecuted in America’s newly inverted justice system. Reasonable self-defense must be punished. They don’t even care if they lose the case against him. As we’ve heard from them before, “the process is the punishment.”
They’ll try to ruin Knapton regardless. He’ll have to change his name, but even then, it’s possible he’ll forever be marked, like Rittenhouse and Penny before him. Branded a racist and a murderer despite the outcome.
Remember, Dear Reader, they want you to be defenseless. Against their shock troops, like Antifa, but also against the barbarian hordes they’ve let loose. Their newly protected classes. The kinds of men that get cashless bail despite 17 violent felonies and are released on their own recognizance time and again, only to end up murdering innocent young women on the train.
We need to blow this case up. It needs to go national whether Knapton wants it to or not. I haven’t looked into Michigan stand-your-ground laws, and frankly, it doesn’t even matter.
If a man cannot defend his property from seven burglars in the middle of the night, using deadly force if necessary, then we are no longer free Americans.
Simple as that.
