The transgender card didn’t help this irate attorney even slightly

WELCOME TO MASCULINITY
Video is going gangbusters this morning showing bailiffs arrest an irate lawyer in the middle of a populated courtroom.
The lawyer, Rob Hopkins, is an “accomplished civil rights attorney,” blares the world’s most effusive piece of writing about a lawyer ever put to print. He’s also a she.
Hopkins, a self-identified female-to-male attorney in Oklahoma, was representing a civil custody case in front of Judge Laurie Jackson. I’m not going to break down the case or its merits, however, because Hopkins’ behavior in the court was self-evident.
As the lawyer opposing Hopkins said to the judge, “It’s as clear as the nose on my face.”
Hopkins became increasingly agitated with Jackson, the volume on her almost-but-not-quite masculine voice rising.
“Stop, stop!” Jackson said. “You interrupt me again, I am going to hold you in direct contempt.”
Hopkins kept spinning himself up. Insisting her client was under duress. Insisting she be able to continue her argument, even though the judge was clearly finished hearing her tirade.
Then came my favorite part of the six-minute video. Hopkins, in frustration, chucks her phone on the floor.
“Do not throw your … ” Jackson started to say, but Hopkins interrupted yet again.
“I did not throw, it fell off the bench. PLEASE STOP SAYING THINGS THAT ARE NOT TRUE, MA’AM.”
“Sir, you’ve got a room full of witnesses.”
“I do!”
“Please settle down.”
The back and forth continued, with Jackson threatening contempt. Then Hopkins took the obvious turn.
“You’re mad at me because I’m a transgender attorney, practicing all over this state!”
“I don’t know what you are!”
I’m going to stop here. It’s obvious, regardless of the details of the case, that none of this is good for the client.
The fighting continues until eventually the other trial lawyer tells the judge it’s “plain” that Hopkins is out of order. He also insists Hopkins’ client has a warrant, which is why she won’t appear.
“THAT’S NOT TRUE!” Hopkins yells.
“These people are my friends,” said the other attorney, turning toward Hopkins, referring to members of the court, “and you’re being ugly.”
Bailiffs encircle Hopkins. You can probably guess what happens from here. Footage shows her resist arrest. She shrieks for witnesses in the court to call 911. Nobody does. Bailiffs wrestle her to the ground. They do this as if she were male. In fact, one of them calls her “sir.” Hopkins does look very male.
And to this I say, welcome to the world of men.
There’s been countless videos of transgender “men” sobbing on TikTok, ruing the day they started down the path of masculinity. It’s lonely. It’s violent. Nobody really cares about you.
Cry me a river.
“GET A FEMALE OFFICER NOW!” Hopkins eventually began yelling.
“There aren’t any,” said one of the bailiffs.
This final exchange is pure poetry. What started as a hysterical (probably hormone-infused) breakdown in front of a judge, progressed to flat out denying reality — my sister in Christ, you plainly threw your phone! — and ended with the expectation that she should be treated like a female, and thus, provided with female officers.
But there are none.
Good luck in jail with other, actual dudes, Ms. Hopkins.
