Greetings, Dear Reader,
Yes, another post about race. I swear I’ll find something else soon, but the hits just keep coming!
CTRL F ‘WHITE MEN’
I hate predictions and even as I am a terminal optimist, I hesitate to say this, but: The New York Times is dead to rights cooked.
The Trump Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) is suing The New York Times for workplace discrimination. A current employee of the Times – you read that correctly – is working with administration lawyers on a suit charging that the paper is racist against white men and that racism is a matter of employment policy.
Totally illegal by the way and has been for decades. Elites would be shocked to learn that Civil Rights law is totally neutral and also applies to white men (and Christians!).
The craziest part is The New York Times has all but admitted to the crime already. In 2021, they publicly issued a “Call to Action” to hire and promote more “people of color” and “women.”
The suit is stunning if only for the fact that it recounts – quite concisely – how the paper publicly laid out its plan to violate the law.
Read it for yourself. Pages 3-???. (This is difficult to find in legacy media coverage because no liberal reporter would ever link to the primary document, but that’s why SOTD exists, folks.)
The suit shows that The New York Times tracked race, sex, and sexual persuasion with literal Nazi-like accuracy, year over year, for nearly a decade. The paper also pegged actual performance compensation to the hiring of certain kinds of individuals. Hire a white man? No bonus. Hire a black latinx transgender? You get a bonus. What’s more, internal slack messages confirm leadership had moments of panic about their progress.
Totally illegal. Done with complete and utter confidence.
I know you’ve probably heard that it’s bad to take notes on a criminal conspiracy. Imagine proudly publishing those notes in a yearly report.
It’s not the evil man you really have to worry about, Dear Reader. It’s the misled, ignorant and self righteous that do the real damage.
In response to this mountain of self-made, self-published, self-promoted evidence, The New York Times did what liberals are quite famous for nowadays: Pointed directly at it and said it doesn’t exist.
“Our employment practices are merit-based and focused on recruiting and promoting the best talent in the world. We will defend ourselves vigorously,” the paper’s legal representation said.
Since you all loved our sale from yesterday so much, we decided to bring it back.
This offer ends at midnight.
Complicating matters further for the Times is, as I mentioned, the guy still works at the paper AND he’s part of the employee union. Reporters there, according to reports, are scrambling to identify the man. The Times leadership already knows who he is. There’s no doubt he’s about to get dragged. He’s also likely highly aware of that fact and highly unlikely to budge as a result.
This man woke up one day and chose jihad. Good for him.
The case is “highly likely” to go to discovery, which means more internal communications are going to surface. This, Dear Reader, is the thread that might just pull the whole house down.
If they so gleefully published their intent to start doing genetic headcounts, to make certain employees wear digital Stars of David, it’s not difficult to picture the kinds of things they were saying internally.
“White male discrimination cases rule” because “you just subpoena emails and Ctrl-F ‘white men.’”
Yikes.
Couldn’t have happened to a worse group of people.
