State of Wednesday: We’re On The Eve Of A Fempocalypse. But They Won’t Go Without A Fight
Will the real Meghan Markle please report to the unemployment line
Greetings, Dear Reader,
Welp, I hope you’re getting over St. Patrick’s Day as well as I am. (I didn’t drink a lick of booze!).
What’s happening now is going to have a huge effect on tomorrow.
I’ll bet you shared some of the same assumptions I did about this big corporate push for “diversity.”
It’s all about to come crashing down.
19 Things to Cut When Money Gets Tight (Most People Ignore #11)
Your money is getting tight. Prices are going up. And figuring out what to cut back on can feel overwhelming. Read our list of money-saving strategies below. Even doing just one can help you breathe a little easier:
THE INBOUND FEMPOCALYPSE
Meghan Markle is probably going to lose her job.
Netflix awarded her the gig to much fanfare. It also cost them tens of millions. She and a thoroughly cucked No Longer Prince Harry were supposed to produce a suite of media for the brand. They did at least some things. Nothing really stuck. (See: It was all insufferable and terrible and mostly because Meghan is insufferable and terrible.)
Which led to this disaster of a story from once-wildly-supportive Variety Magazine:
So it looks like Markle will soon be unemployed. Unlike the tens of millions of women who are sure to follow her, she can dry her eyes with her millions in wasted corporate largesse.
The cuckening of a once virile, masculine man in Prince Harry, a combat veteran who once killed terrorists, is almost certain to be followed by what Andrew Yang has dubbed the “f*ckening.”
Prince Harry was, in many ways, an avatar for all mankind when you think about it. But just as accurately applied is Meghan for womankind.
The decades following the turn of the new century saw massive and simultaneous initiatives favoring female replacement of male workers and male leadership and even masculinity. Benevolent masculinity, like Harry’s, like Joe the Plumber’s, was effectively outlawed everywhere from corporate offices to academia to secondary education. It wasn’t just dodgeball, but recess too was annihilated. Male impulses were blunted with pharmacology, either taken prescribed by female therapists or flushed down the toilet by millions of artificially non-menstruating women and later consumed in tap water.
The feminization of western culture is as undeniable as it is obvious. We feel it as qualitatively as we feel the weather outside. Nobody needs to tell you it’s hot or it’s cold, you just know. It’s also quantifiable.
Dozens of fields have gorged on “educated” women in the previous two decades. Fields once dominated by men are now overwhelmingly female. Marketing and PR, once the realm of Mad Men, are now roughly 8/10 female. Human resources likewise. While administrative roles exploded in both academia and corporations – even in Silicon Valley – they also tilted to favor women, who now hold a slight advantage to men. Not to mention fake fields like diversity, equity and inclusion which, as you can imagine, also heavily advantage females.
And the overall proportion of these jobs has increased when compared to the people actually doing real jobs. You see this pronounced most in public offices. Education has seen an explosion of administrative, mostly female jobs. But you’ve also got big tech and corporate offices getting in on the fun.
What this has to do with Meghan Markle is that she, like the overwhelmingly female workforce, was just a meme.
Netflix spent tens of millions of dollars on a meme without fully recognizing that memes lose their value rapidly. Corporations and institutions spent tens of billions of dollars on equity initiatives without fully understanding the transient nature of memes. They expected it to last forever. But does anyone remember MeToo? Does anyone even care anymore?
The music is slowing down, Dear Reader. At some point, perhaps when there are enough data centers in operation, it will stop just as abruptly as the game we all played in grammar school when the teachers were too tired to actually teach.
I’ve been to no less than three invite-only labor and tech summits in recent months. Panels included leaders in artificial intelligence and labor. In every one, the overall summary was the same: Women will bear the highest burden of the “white collar” automation revolution.
The jig is up, as they say folks. I’m sure you’ve already heard to some degree how AI is going to target “white collar” workers. Most people haven’t fully realized what kind yet.
Brookings, in 2024, published this sentence in a study on the matter, “It is women, not men, who face both the highest exposure to generative AI and the highest automation risk, due to their overrepresentation in white collar work that requires a college degree and in administrative support roles.”
They followed that in 2026 with this one, “Of these workers [6.1 million with high AI exposure and low adaptive capacity], 86% are women ... These workers tend to be concentrated in clerical and administrative roles.”
Corporations, government offices, and public institutions were all quite eager to bump up their “diversity” scores by hiring millions of administrators, communicators and human resources reps who could send out hiring notices, script press releases, and write internal “diversity” memos.
The push for diversity is dissolving just as artificial intelligence is rising. A lot of these jobs are merely symbolic. They contribute nothing to the bottom line. A large overlapping percentage of them can be automated now for $200 a month by a man with an education in STEM.
Do we pay Shontel Davis with her doctorate in gender and race studies an executive’s salary, or do we just spend $3000 to train an AI we can consult. Heck, do we even need a DEI agent?
These Meghan Markles were mostly just an expensive meme, and like the real Meghan Markle, they’re on their way out.
There’ll be a cost too. They’ll go, but they won’t go without a fight.
“If you are going to disrupt the economic and, therefore, political power significantly of one party’s base – highly educated, often female voters who vote mostly Democrat,” Palantir CEO Alex Karp said on CNBC, “and you believe that that’s going to work out politically — you’re in an insane asylum.”
Oh boy, Dear Reader.
Welcome to the eve of the fempocalypse.
