Hey y’all, welcome back to Unfit to Print.
THE FUTURE IS CUCKED
Apple has unveiled its vision for the future of the American family and it’s … very, very bleak.
In an advertisement for the HomeView, Apple’s new $299 smart home device, the tech giant introduces us to a family of helpless suburban liberals who can’t cook breakfast, find their car keys, or organize rides to school without the help of a robot.
The chaotic, anxiety-inducing three minute spot is the Big Tech equivalent of Uncut Gems or Marty Supreme. No one watches those films and wants to be the main character. In fact, they leave the theater exceptionally grateful to be literally anybody else.
And yet Apple seems to think we’ll watch three minutes of an insufferable family careening toward a collective nervous breakdown and say, “Gee, I wish that were my life.”
