WORLD CUP’S DARK WARNING

One of the genuinely fun things about the World Cup is watching foreigners fall in love with America in real time.

My social media timeline is filled with fans from around the world marveling at how big everything is in Texas, discovering tailgates and the portion sizes at local diners and admiring how friendly everyone is.

But the wholesome travel videos should not blind anyone to the dark underbelly of mass migration events.
