Why Is Trump Mocking His Own Voters?

A rational and apologetic administration would find ways to make amends to the disenfranchised

The S&P 500 lost $2.9 trillion in market value after Democrats’ “Blue Tsunami” on Tuesday, marking the largest single-day market-cap decline on record. This is a serious issue for any regular, everyday American worker or retiree with a 401(k) or IRA account. A drop like this will sting badly, especially for those close to retirement.

It’s bad news layered on top of bad election results. One would assume President Donald Trump would offer some uplifting or encouraging words to the downtrodden American people. But that’s not what we got Thursday as the news of the market crash spread. Instead, Trump gleefully blamed the same Americans he knifed in the back.

“The Stock Market crashed today because the Dumocrats had a big Tuesday — So sad to see, you only have yourselves to blame! President DONALD J. TRUMP,” Trump said on Truth Social.

There is no denying at this point that Republicans lost Tuesday because voters felt betrayed by the do-nothing Republicans in Congress, the neocons whispering sweet-nothings in Trump’s ear, and Trump, who happily believed he could commit a regime change war without political fallout.
